Dahilayan Adventure Park sits at 1,500 meters above sea level in the municipality of Manolo Fortich, about an hour from Malaybalay City. It is home to what is claimed to be Southeast Asia longest dual zipline — a 4.2-kilometer cable that drops 960 meters from a forested ridge to a valley below. Whether or not you take the statistics at face value, the ride itself is extraordinary.
Getting There
From Cagayan de Oro, take a bus or van to Malaybalay and transfer to a habal-habal or tricycle to Dahilayan. From Malaybalay City, the drive takes about 45 minutes on an increasingly steep road through pine forest and vegetable farms. The last stretch before the park entrance is the most scenic, with views over the Bukidnon plateau that make you understand why people choose to live here.
What to Do
The main attraction is obviously the zipline, but Dahilayan also has a cable car, an ATV track, a forest trail for hiking, and a camping area that fills up every weekend. The cool temperature at this elevation means you genuinely need a jacket even in the middle of summer, which feels strange if you arrived from the coast that morning.
Practical Tips
Book online in advance on weekends and holidays. The zipline queues can stretch to two hours during peak season. Arrive early if you want to combine multiple activities in one day. Bring cash — not all services accept cards.
